Julian believes that Abe Skinner, the current Collier County Property Appraiser, has done the required job of the Property Appraiser's office during his long-standing career and does not plan to undo the systematic nature that the current office operates at. This level of operation only represents the base requirements though; instead, Julian wants to improve upon the systematic nature in place by adding a layer of modern refinement by addressing the limited public connection to assessment information that has long plagued property owners and such, been an increasingly apparent issue over the past two decades. Julian wants to expand upon the current system with updated technology, rather than take the easy route with the system unchanged or updated per the current administration decisions.
Julian believes that it is the Property Appraiser's civic duty to provide the public ease of access to all information collected by the administration; rather than make it more difficult for the public to challenge assessments with detailed information in hand. By implementing ease of access to information for the public and other civic offices, Julian plans to bring the long-needed improvement to the GIS spatial services, update network and database needs, and ease of use and access to all information via online/website portal for any level of user.
All information collected by the Property Appraiser's office is public record by nature of the civic position and duty; and with current technology readily available and widely used today per fellow County Assessor's adopted systems, it is time to Collier County Property Appraiser's office to supply its citizens with the services and information that it's rightfully due.
Paid by Julian Stokes Jr, Republican, Candidate for Collier County Property Appraiser.
